I grew up going to Los Banditos all the time so it will always be one of my favorite restaurants! The food is amazing. I especially recommend the CCQ and the Nacho Grande Salad. Everything is big enough to share! I'm also not a big meat eater and I'll eat the chicken, beef, or even the pork. The atmosphere is very unique. It's super dark with plenty of candles. Sounds weird but you get used to it! I love this place!

Food was OK - portion sizes are HUGE. Good chips and salsa

My absolute go-to restaurant when I'm in Green Bay. Great shredded beef tacos and the CCQ is a must. Also, they have phenomenal salsa that comes with the free chips. The margaritas are good but they're a bit over priced. Even on 1/2 off Wednesday's, they're questionably over priced.

The most Americanized, faux Mexican food around. Edible, but so many better Mexican restaurants choices in Green Bay.

This has been a Green Bay Mexican food staple for years. The food is consistently good. The queso is an addictive appetizer that you will crave. It's very dark in both locations both day and night and not exactly the most modern decor. Service is always good and food is fairly fast. The bar is usually full after work with folks enjoying margaritas. If you want a Green Bay classic, this is it.

Great local Mexican food. Their CCQ and salsa is fantastic. Their taco basket and chimichanga are my fave meals.

First, I have to say, I am coming here from Texas. I thought the top shelf marg I had was weak and watery. Not worth the money. The entree was ok, standard Tex Mex. However, I am used to a lot more flavor. But, I have heard spicy isn't something that's done up here in Wisco.

This place is in my neighborhood so its a favorite spot to have drinks and dinner. I had a cpl sangrias that were refreshing but a less fruit then im used to.We always have the Fajitas..him the steak and me the chicken.I decided to go with shrimp this time and was BLOWN AWAY! Cooked perfectly with the simmering peppers and onions. They bring you out a whole plate of other toppings along w/your tortillas.. shredded cheese, tomatos, lettuce, blk olives, sour cream and THE BEST GUACOMOLE IN Green Bay!

I have lived in Green Bay a few years, so have been here probably five times and never at my own suggestion. Every time, I can't believe how lousy it is. The food is terrible. This last time I thought I would do something no one could mess up, literally anyone could make this dish: chorizo and eggs. What I got was a plate of tomato with CHEESE on it. I could find no egg and no chorizo! I was on a lunch break from work, so had no time to send the food back, it was a very long wait for the food I got. I think some people who are originally from Green Bay have an affection for this place out of nostalgia, I can't explain it. I will never go back again, even if a group suggests again. I'm putting my foot down.

This is one of Green Bay's CLASSIC restaurants. If you're looking for authentic mexican cuisine, this probably isn't the place for you. That being said, the food is great and the portions are enormous. You won't be going home hungry, and that's a fact. The chips and salsa are endless and always great, and their happy hour margaritas on wednesday's is almost too good of a deal to pass up. If you're looking for a meal, Fajita's or the Chicken Mole are my standards here. This restaurant is definitely all about ambience. Dark lighting compliments the retro mexican decor on the walls, and the music is always good. Plus, they've got some of the best staff in the business, some who have been there for more time than I can remember. I make a visit EVERY TIME I'm back in town.

Come here for the CCQ! It is the best in this small town they like to call "Green Bay". The margaritas here are also to die for and they are huge and they are CHEAP. My brother lives right by here so we always walk over to get dinner/drinks when I'm visiting. Atmosphere: Dark, relaxing and kind of loud (depending on how busy it is).

Have eaten here dozens of times and each time it has been great. Friendly staff, great selection of items, prices are reasonable and the cocktails are good. Try to go when Rick,Steve or Greg are working the bar. They add to the fun you will have.

Great food and great service. I stopped in at 6:00 on Thursday night and had 2 Margaritas, 2 Tacos and chips n salsa for les than $13. Staff was very friendly and fast. I'll be back next week.

My three stars are for calling it a Mexican Resturant . It's more like a white woman trying to cook Mexican ! Don't get me wrong the food is excellent but if you want true Mexican food this is not the place! I loved the chicken mole dish I had, but I'm not sure the sauce was really ! It was good but not black mole like I asked ! When I first got there I asked for a michelada and they had no idea what I asked for! It was Wednesday so half priced margarita night so bonus! Great food and good drinks

Excellent food and just love their CCQ with the steak fajitas coming in a close second.

Los Banditos is average at best. To their credit the salsa is excellent but on the 3 occasions I've eaten here I've left disappointed each time, the food is just meh....

Disgusting. Clearly, this place is a fond memory for the locals and maybe that's why people keep going back. The chips and salsa are left on the table all day which is very unappetizing. The food is just not good at all. And the margaritas taste like a store bought mix. We will not be returning.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
